BSGCT Outstanding Achievement Award

Outstanding Achievement Award

 

Purpose:

The Outstanding Achievement Award is given biennially to an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy in the UK.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have conducted extensive original research in basic science, technology development and/or clinical translation in the field of gene and cell therapy

  • The bulk of the candidate’s relevant work must have been conducted in the UK

  • Candidates must be members of BSGCT

  • Candidates must be nominated by a BSGCT member and the nomination seconded by another BSGCT member

  • The nomination proposal must be made in the application form included below, provide contact details for the nominating and seconding members and proposed candidate, and a brief description of the candidate’s work to support the nomination. The candidate’s CV must be attached.

  • Awardees must be available to give a presentation on their work at the next BSGCT Annual Conference

 

Awarding decisions:

The BSGCT board will review the nominations and select the awardee. The board decision will be final.

 

Prize:

Trophy awarded during a 3-day annual conference
