To recognise outstanding written communication by students (post-graduate and undergraduate) and research scientists (pre- and post-doctoral) we are once again running our BSGCT Science Writing Competition and invite you to submit your entry!
To enter you will need to submit an original piece of writing on Gene and Cell Therapy to email@example.com. This could be your own or someone else’s research, or focus on a general topic of interest related to Gene and Cell Therapy.
The Science Writing Competition is open now closes on 12 June 2020.
- The winning entry will receive a cash prize of £250.
- Winning entry and 2 runner-up articles will have their article posted on the BSGCT Blogs!
Eligibility and guidelines
The competition is open to BSGCT members and non-members.
Articles must be connected to Gene and Cell therapy, with a 700-1000 word range. We strongly encourage the use of figures and schematics to help explain concepts.
Articles must be written in clear and concise English and be understandable to an interested lay audience. All technical terms should be clearly defined but avoided where possible.
Entries should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org with “BSGCT Competition” in the subject field. All entries must be received by 5pm on 12 June 2020.
Entries will be judged by scientists and patient advocates to ensure scientific accuracy and accessibility to an interested lay audience.
Winners will be selected and informed by the end of July 2020.
Please contact Sian Stafford (email@example.com) for any enquiries.
