Hours: Full Time

Closing Date 22 October 2017 (midnight BST)

We wish to invite applications for the post of Non-clinical Lecturer from outstanding candidates with an excellent track record in publications and research grants, commensurate with the level of appointment. You will be working within the Gene Therapy section of the Respiratory Science Division.
We are searching for a fellow team member who will complement current research activity. The Department focusses on translational research related to the development of novel gene therapy, treatments for a range of disease indications including cystic fibrosis, alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency and pulmonary alveolar proteinosis. The Department is a member of the UK Cystic Fibrosis Gene Therapy Consortium and the appointee will work closely with other Consortium sites based at the Universities of Oxford and Edinburgh. The appointee should complement current research activity and demonstrate research interests around respiratory gene and cell therapy (expertise around monocyte/macrophage-based treatments would be an advantage). It is anticipated that the appointee will develop an independent translational research programme, but also support related activities within the Department. To excel in this role, you will possess a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
