Shareen Forbes is Professor of Diabetic Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and Lead Physician of the Islet Transplant Programme in Scotland. Her research focuses on islet and stem cell–derived islet transplantation in Type 1 diabetes and the development of cellular and drug-based strategies to improve islet transplant outcomes. She collaborates widely in academia and industry.
